Dear Alpine High School Class of 1957,
I understand, but cannot confirm, that we have been graduated for 45 years.
It really doesn’t matter because it is time for us to get together again anyway!
With input from a few classmates, we have decided to have the get together the same weekend as the Bloys Camp
Meeting in Fort Davis, which is August 9-11. Other suggestions included more time to just visit and less scheduled
activities. Sooooooo…
Friday, August 9 starting whenever you arrive…
We plan to have a get together at the "Hosp" and have Pizza. The "Hosp" is our building next to the Presbyterian Church.
That is where our class had most of our parties and we referred to it as the "Hosp."
We will order whenever and you can pay at the door. Bring your own beverages to share.
Saturday, August 10
Eat Breakfast on your own or with a friend(s)… Again, gather at the Hosp to visit. We will have some snacks (bring some, if you like!) but everyone have
an opportunity to try out the various lunch places in town. Hang out and visit!
We will have a catered BBQ dinner starting about 4:30 or 5. For that you will need to send me $10 per person in advance to cover the meal etc. Then
we can visit as long as we like, or those who wish can go to Bloys.
I will be getting a schedule of the Bloys events. Let me know if you are particularly interested and I can try to get that to you in advance.
Sunday, August 11
Get together for breakfast as you like, and come back to the Hosp to visit some more until you have to get on the road.
Accommodations
If you need information on rooms, let me know or you may try out the Alpine website at
www.alpinetexas.com if you are into that. We can hook up three or
so trailers and campers in our yard if you like – bring an extension cord and let me know. We can party all night long!
Hey! Make an effort to come! It may be another 5 years before we get together again and time is slipping away.
If you have more current addresses or emails or have addresses for those not
listed on this site, please let me know so I can update and get in touch with those persons.
